What can I say, it’s been a few weeks since my last post  and, as always, I’ve been busy. School is a time sucker and although I love it, much too often it’s getting in the way of my fun. I’m still knitting as much as possible and even have some finished projects to show for it. I love how my metro turned out.

It’s knit out of merino and alpaca which is just as snuggly as it looks. The one problem with the cardigan is that I wish it had a tie in the front; I can’t stand constantly pulling it together. We’ll see if I decide to put some i-cord on it or not. Time will tell.

I also finished my Rowan wool and cotton cardigan.  I bought this yarn at a super price because they were all leftover balls of different colors that looked great together and this is the result of my efforts at creating a cardigan.

The colors look so much prettier in person but this is the best I could do for now.  I think this would be a great spring sweater.  I haven’t written up the pattern but if you’re interested, let me know and I’ll see what I can do.

Of course I can’t go a minute without a knitting project so as soon as I read about this KAL I knew I had to join.  I’m knitting both hats and it’s so exciting to see how they turn out.  I hadn’t done a mystery knit-along in sooo long that I felt it was time to do one.  Here is a picture of the yarn I’ve decided to use.

Of course Chiquita had to get her nose in the picture and who am I to say no to that.

One of my favorite holidays has come and past; Halloween.  This summer I painted ping pong balls to look like real eyeballs and at the beginning of October I tied them on a wreath to hang on the door.

We also dressed up for a fun night of trick-or-treating. It worked and we came home with tons of candy.  OH no, my hips!!  Those stripes don’t help any either. 😉

Of course our beautiful adopted daughter, the neighbor’s daughter who lives in the city, came out for the night to celebrate with us.

Thanks to Colleen who wrote to say she wished I would blog more.  That made my day and has really made me want to get back to blogging!!!!  Thank you!!!

what a fabulous blog. I loved the cardigans. I am trying to decide on which one to cast on her. I like both of the ones you did. The eyeballs are hillarious♥

I tried several times to download the pdf for your purse organizer. I was so excited to see a pattern for me to use. However, it says the file is damaged and cannot be loaded. I was wondering if you can redo it or something. Of couse, I am a little challenged when it comes to doing that sort of thing, but since you have a blog I figured you could fix it. If not can you send me a fresh copy from your computer?
    Thanks in advance.
